A busy and growing airport means lots of traffic, and as a Traffic Marshall you’ll make sure that all road users – from passengers to employees - are safe, especially during peak times and when weather conditions are poor.
It involves looking after our terminal forecourt areas, asking drivers to move their vehicles if they’ve stopped in an unsafe area, and working closely with Black Cab drivers to ensure that all areas are under control.
It’s a customer facing role so you’ll need great communication skills, and because you’ll be on your feet much of the day, you’ll also need to be reasonably fit. There will also be times when you’ll need to patrol the airport in a vehicle, so a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points is also important.
