Equal Opportunities Policy

Manchester Airport Group’s policy describes ways in which the Airport promotes equal treatment for all employees or potential employees irrespective of race, colour, sexual orientation, nationality, national or ethnic origins, gender, marital status, age, Trade Union membership.

Policy Statement Manchester Airport Group is committed to equality of opportunity in all its employment practices, policies and procedures.  To this end, within the framework of the law, the Company is committed, wherever practicable, to achieving and maintaining a workforce which broadly reflects the local catchment area within which it operates.  No employee or potential employee will therefore receive less favourable treatment due to their race, colour, sexual orientation, nationality or ethnic origins, gender, marital status, age, Trade Union membership or disability.

Equal Opportunities Monitoring The Airport’s application form includes an equal opportunities monitoring section in order for confidential monitoring to take place.  This monitoring will apply to ethnic origin, disability, gender and age.  The resultant statistics will be kept by the Recruitment Department.  These statistics will be monitored by Board Members on a regular basis, and a review of the results will be undertaken at least once a year.
