With a multi-million pound transformation programme across all of our airports, it’s a really exciting time for us here at MAG. We are looking to invest in the future by offering a wide range of apprenticeship programmes from Level 2 all the way up to degree level.

Our apprenticeships cover a variety of our business areas including:

  • Catering and Hospitality
  • Maintenance Engineering
  • Business Administration
  • Customer Service
  • Procurement
  • Engineering Services
  • Digital Marketing
  • Motor Transport
  • Horticulture
  • IT

You’ll gain work experience and develop your skills, whilst working towards a professional qualification and earning a salary.

Here’s what our apprentices have to say…

Kara Wilson, HR Apprentice - ''When I finished my A Levels, I wasn’t 100% sure that I wanted to go to university. I then started looking into the other options available to me and found that you could undertake apprenticeships in areas like HR. My role as an apprentice was very varied which was great as it gave me the opportunity to understand the different areas of HR and learn the foundations. I spent time in Recruitment, Learning and Development, Generalist HR, Vetting and Early Talent. I also had the opportunity to gain exposure to the wider business, spending some time out in the operation.''

Ellie Todd, Digital Marketing Apprentice - ''I attend weekly learning sessions where tutors and industry experts teach us digital marketing skills including analytics, how to run successful campaigns and how to use social media to grow a business.''

Ross Franklin, Transport Planning Apprentice - ''I decided to choose this specific apprenticeship because it aligned exactly with what I wanted to do in my future career. This helped me to decide that getting right into my dream job straight away was the right move rather than go to University.''

Harry Lymer, Customer Service Apprentice - ''I chose an apprenticeship as an alternative to University, I knew that Stansted was a place I wanted to get into but wasn’t sure how. Luckily, I came across the apprenticeship which meant I was able to build the experience in the job that I wanted and gain a qualification alongside it.''

Caimin Roche, Engineering Technician Apprentice - ''Completing my apprenticeship at Manchester Airport meant that I was working in a unique and dynamic environment like no other. The combination of theoretical study and practical skills helped me retain information better. Being able to earn some money as well as learning helped get my first car and first holiday abroad on my own.''

Our Apprentice vacancies for 2019 will open later in the year.
